In Wicklight, you control a mobile light source tasked with surviving against enemies that thrive in the shadows. Your primary goal is to manage your dwindling fuel supply while navigating a room where every pillar casts real-time, shifting darkness. You move your flame using the mouse to avoid being cornered by creatures lurking in the unlit corridors. To clear space, you can hold the left mouse button to charge your light and release it to trigger a flare that temporarily pushes back the darkness. The game relies on precise movement, as standing still allows shadows to stabilize and enemies to approach.
This experience is unique because the entire environment is generated through code, with all audio synthesized live. It is well-suited for players who enjoy minimalist, high-tension survival challenges that can be completed in short, focused sessions.
