In VybeCiv, you build a civilization starting from a single tribe on Earth and expand through the Solar System and the Galaxy in a browser-based 4X strategy game. Your goal is to grow your empire and achieve victory either by being the first to build an Intergalactic Gate, dominating rival cities, or having the highest score by turn 300. You manage cities, research technologies, advance through ages, and navigate across three separate maps connected by space projects. Controls involve dragging to pan, using the mouse wheel or pinch to zoom, and clicking to select units and cities.
This game offers a deep strategic experience where you compete against rivals and encounter space natives and anomalies across multiple planetary scales. It is well-suited for fans of turn-based strategy who enjoy long-term empire management directly in a web browser, with gameplay sessions tailored to your pace of ending turns. Notably, most of the code for this project was written by artificial intelligence. Playing on mobile devices is supported via touch controls like pinch-to-zoom.
