About Wickward — The Last Light
In this tactical action game, you use a single torch as shelter, bait, and a weapon to escape a dark courtyard. Your main goal is to throw your light, kindle fires, break seals, and survive enemies. The game features two modes: Journey, which guides you through learning mechanics and defeating the Hollow Warden, and Endless, where you survive growing crowds and upgrade your flame. Controls require a keyboard and mouse, using WASD or arrows to move, the mouse to aim, left click to throw, right click to recall, and space to dodge.
The fun comes from managing your positioning while leaving your torch burning and recalling it through enemies. It is built for players who enjoy tactical challenges with painted characters and warm lighting. Sessions fit browser play, and the project was partially made with AI for a game jam.
